Sponsored post: Sodastream party!

When asked whether I wanted to try out a new Sodastream, three words, 'oh' 'hell' and 'yes' sprang to mind. I love seltzer water and am trying to give up caffeine, so anything that presents another option for a soft drink is very welcome.

I decided to take it over to my friend Des' house for a trial run. She's the owner of two small boy pups, Theo (to be my tester) and Aubrey (too small for fizz yet). Here we are mid experiment. I love Aubs, peeking through the bottle. We were making cupcakes at the same time. Theo's verdict: fizzy!

The machine itself is slim and stylish enough to slot on the kitchen counter and the flavours we tried were really tasty. Lemon and lime was one of several sugar free options; pretty delicious and would taste even better with added gin. (My mind was boggling at the alcoholic options, even just being able to make plain seltzer water to add to wine would be so handy.)  Cranberry and raspberry went well with our cupcakes: Hummingbird strawberry cheesecake, but we used raspberries instead. Isn't Aubrey just the cutest in that shirt?

  1. Ooh I used to love a Sodastream when I was a kid. Now I try and steer clear of fizzy drinks but it all goes out the window when I have some alcohol xx

  2. Sadly, I have a deep aversion to fizzy drinks, but this sounds fab (and yes - the alcoholic opportunities are eye-watering)...

Coming to London week after next - must meet up then!
