I gave my bike a new basket and a wash and polish on Friday. So I feel a bit guilty for cheating on it and scanning the product page of
Bobbin Bicycles, with its blissfully old-fashioned bikes. But ever since
Sarah posted a picture of this shiny red bicycle she received as a surprise gift, I've been a'wantin' one. I have to say, I'm more than a little jealous. Hers came with a bow on the handlebar! Make sure to wear a helmet, lady.
I love Bobbin bikes - I SO want a purple one. But no justification. Of course if someone was to steal my trusty hybrid...
ReplyDeleteI know, Nat. Really want one. But if my bike did actually get nicked I'd be really gutted. ;p
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry! In my defence, it was a complete surprise, I sent him a picture of this one months ago, labelled 'Dream Bike' & he's never bought me anything that pricey before, so it was kind of a shock.
ReplyDeleteJust posting about it now - I cycled up Dartmouth Park Hill yesterday (near you?) and it almost killed me. Fancy a bike ride when I get rid of my cold? And of course I will wear a helmet :)
Aw, that is so sweet! What a dude.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd love to go on a bike ride! We have to follow my golden rule and not cycle up any streets with the word 'hill' in the name, though. I can't believe you cycled up Dartmouth Park Hill!
Get well soon!
Thats where I got my beautful Gazelle! I love Bobbin, such a beautiful shop. That red bike is pretty gorgeous too, I'd be jealous as well:) x LZ
ReplyDeleteBillie's got one of those!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorge and has the best bell I've ever heard but it's SO HEAVY. Not practical for those of us with excessive stairs...
*sigh*
I have a Bobbin... her name is Glorie :) Looking forward to riding her in the sunshine today :D
ReplyDeleteI would love a bike just like this. I love old fashioned bikes. I'm trying to work out whether I would be too lethal on the road! Probably! I even considered buying one and just riding around London Fields cycle lanes but I'm sure I'd be bored in no time. xx
ReplyDeleteI got my cherry red Metropole(completely with wicker basket)earlier this month and I love it to bits. It was a bit of a gamble as I didn't know how to cycle at the time but I can now pedal unaided (although I'm hilariously wobbly and can't turn yet!) and am looking forward to taking my beauty on countryside jaunts very soon. An absolute dream of a bike, still can't believe I own it.
