Plaits with panache.

I'm glad that plaits are still popular for spring. I'm definitely going to try a side plait. I've only just had a fringe cut back in; without the fringe they made my face look really long. (I'm sure my chin has grown, recently. It's really pointy!)

Maegan (top left) gives instructions on her awesome blog on how to plait with panache. The Vogue blogs also give instructions on how to plait as per below. I love the fishtail style, bottom right.

  2. I had very long plaits when you were tiny - I remember being laughed at when I went into hospital to have Robin. I was obviously years ahead of my time -(or maybe just a hippy!) Anyway, I've always liked plaits and have a very nice photo of you aged four wearing the same.

  3. I love plaits.

Sometimes I do just the little one to hold my bangs back and braid it behind my ear.

  4. I am so bad at plaits - for some reason my hair won't accept them! I'm willing to try again though, cos they look great on those girls.

  5. When I was young, my sister has a very long hair and she always was in plaits. I remembered suddenly her hair.

  6. My hair is so fine I find plaits really difficult to do without it being a really small plait!

  7. I can only do a little baby plait! Mother, why didn't you give me your plaitable locks! (Mind you yours was really long. Yes. Hippy.)

  8. I do love a good plait, but have never been able to master the fishtail. Lovely references. xx

  9. My hair's too short to do full on plaits so I'm making do with mini ones (unfortunately prone to sticking out at odd angles, not quite the look I was aiming for!)
