Siftin' and thriftin'.

Siftin' and thriftin' is what we're doing this weekend. I have bags and bags of clothes, shoes, hats, you name it. And James has thousands of records. (He's seen here sorting the ones he has TWO of. Well, it's a start.) Saturday we will sort through it all. Sunday we are setting up stall at the Holloway car boot sale. I've never done this before, have you? Will we actually make any money or is this a total waste of time? (Like, my Sunday is worth more than £50, so if that's all I'm going to make it can go to the charity shop.)

Have a good one dudes! What are you up to?

[Apologies for the manfoot picture. And apologies for the crap quality photo too. I need to instigate a 'no iPhone pics' rule from now on.]

  1. Is Hoops helping him sort? Good luck with the car boot sale - remember, don't buy as much tat as you sell... Trying to work out whether to brave a dip in the lido tomorrow - wondering how chilly I can take it. Then we're off to Babbington House for a luxurious couple of days - can't wait!!!!

  2. Hoops is helping him sort - what a sweetie. Pity you're not closer as we've loads of stuff for a boot sale. Mike is off today so we're going "xmas shopping". Anything you fancy from Gap as I'm taking the vouchers with me? Have a good Friday and an excellent weekend.

  3. We have a "dont bring back stuff to fill the gaps of the stuff we are getting rid of" policy - we aren't going to even go to any other stalls (unless we spot bargain tat we can flip for a profit!)..

p.s Hoops was a huge help in the sort...

  7. I did a stall with Dave H a few years ago once and we did alright selling, toys, old videos and bad promotional records. I did end up buying a copy of The Hanged Man and Minute by Minute from the stall next to me but to buy only two records I think is very reserved.

  8. Ugh, is it this weekend you're going to Babbington House? I'm sick with jealousy. Enjoy.

Looking at the weather I'm wondering if the car boot sale will even happen. Liz - sent you a mail. Pad - we almost certainly definitely won't be buying more stuff!

  9. Awesome! I desperately need to do that - sounds like a lot of fun, regardless of the financial outcome, however good luck on that tip as well! :)
